A neat little gift

I’m participating in a neat little online course called SARK’s Awesome Anytime Adventure. Obviously, it’s a course offered by SARK (you can find out more at planetsark.com).

One step at a time - 4

Okay — I struggle a bit.
I had a vivacious energy focused upon my changing weight — to lose a bit, to eat better, to be more active. While that is still present, it has been having a bit of a duel with that part of me that is ‘going to do what it wants to [...]

The risk of healing

I was pondering the risks of healing and put together a few ideas.
To me, healing is a risk because if something requires healing, then there is a trouble that requires a healing. I don’t necessarily want to know what the trouble is (sometimes). Other times, I invite the trouble, because I know there is learning [...]

Wherever you are, whatever you’re doing…

I have a step-son who had a birthday this week. He’s branching off into his ‘after high-school’ life with adventures untold. Perhaps his choices are not the choices I would wish for him, but they are his. He is making them, and his life is unfolding to support his choices.

Splendidly imperfect

In the spirit of all that is splendidly imperfect, I’m going to celebrate what is imperfect in my world. Care to join me?
I made a recipe this weekend, doubled part of it and didn’t double the other part — oops! (It’s still edible :-)  )

The Push

I found myself inspired by this little piece by David McNally –
The Push
The eagle gently coaxed her offspring toward the edge of the nest.
Her heart quivered with conflicting emotions as she felt their resistance to her persistent nudging.
“Why does the thrill of soaring have to begin with the fear of falling?” she thought.

Naked Truth?

I spent a few moments pondering trees. And then, a scrumptious idea was presented. Curious?
First - a bit about my tree ponderings…
I suppose trees feel vulnerable when they lose all their leaves. When the flowery, green, yummy leaves are gone, all that is left is the naked truth of the tree. It seems me, however, [...]

A juicy journaling moment

I’m participating in a great little email course called Juicy Journaling. One of my inspirational author friends (I call her friend, because her books are like reading personal letters),  SARK, has developed this amazing little course that is brimming with goodness, invitations to grow, and my little writer self is being lavishly fed. It is, indeed, [...]

The eve of Joy Rebel Day!

Oh my gosh! I’m so enjoying this Joy Rebel thing! I am a rebel with joy and I’m about to shout!
What is a joy rebel, you ask?
Here’s where it started…

And tomorrow is the first office Joy Rebel Day!

Back to the mill…

Oh gracious me. I’ve got that ‘back to the mill’ feeling. What to do with that!!!
I’ve got so many very exciting things going on at work, lots of interesting projects. Today, however, it feels a little like a drudge. Need to get this piece finished, up, had a meeting so I’ve got to get [...]
