The dawn…the setting…
I am always inspired by the dawn of a new day and the coming to rest of a day that has been spent.
Sunrises and sunsets are deeply fulfilling for me.
I like the way the sky ‘wakes up’ when the rays of the sun crest the horizon as it rises from horizon’s surface into the naked reality of the day that is yet to unfold. The energies of what is planned to be accomplished or the energies of willingness to allow the day to unfurl however it will are like the sounds of a coffee that is percolating in anticipation of being ready — ready to be savored and experienced.
I like the feeling and the beauty of the sun as it finds it’s way to the other side of the world, saying farewell for now, to me, in my place on the earth, and saying good morning to those who find themselves located on the other side of the earth at the very same moment. I like wondering about the start of the day that is happening for those on the other side of the world, and I enjoy the day that is coming to rest, that I am completing. The very pointed way that nature creates those cycles, and how those cycles are like my life — rising, setting, moving forward with determination and energy and letting go and allowing it to come to rest.
What are your dawns like? How do you experience the day as it comes to a close?
