Joy Rebels!!!! Today’s the day!

Happy Joy Rebel day!

And just what exactly is a joy rebel?
Well, I believe it’s different things to different people.
For me, being a joy rebel is harnessing the rebel in me and being rebellious about joy. Celebrating the joy in my own life, participating in activities that spread or invite joy, and spending energy to let joy be a living energy in the way I live my life.

Here are some of my joy rebel experiences:
Leaving sticky-notes in the restroom at work — bright colored sticky notes that just say JOY - and seeing how long they stay there.

Leaving a formal invitation in a breakroom at work, out on the table, for all to see, and invitation to imagine a smile, invite a giggle, and imagine the joy that happens inside the reader, at that very moment.

Dancing with my own life challenges - Maybe a relationship gets sticky and things are not as smooth as I’d wish - dancing with that challenge, and realizing the joy in that journey. It might not be all happy and smiles, but there is joy in the process that goes along with that learning and those moments that are invitations to stretch and grow.

Scheduling time with succulent friends - letting each individual be themselves, sharing with each other, allowing us each to be who we are — our joys, our challenges, our respect, our dark places, and our alive places.

So — I know there are lots of other joy rebels out there — here’s some I know about. Perhaps you know of others…

  • Hi Lexi!

Your Joy Rebel Day sounds *awesome*!!!
I love how you stuck notes up and an open invitation
was left for all of your coworkers. And, you are never
alone in this dance of life, you know ~ when it gets sticky,
reach out a hand and one of us will grab it and help you get
the goo off of your shoes, k?

And, Lexi, are there any notes still up that say “joy” at your
    workplace?

Thanks for playing, too and making such a happy difference in the world!

    Big Squeezes,
    Bella
