Dissonance…

Dissonance is a fair and mysterious waltz that finds its true illustrious beauty in harmonious resolution.
It’s an interesting thought, is it not? Think for a moment upon a summer forest rich with life and complexity. There are mighty trees adorned from head to foot with decorative leaves, lush from the warmth of the sun and [...]

Corporate Quandry

I remember the excitement I felt, out of high school and out of college, getting a ‘job’ and making ‘real’ money. remember that feeling?
I felt accomplished, capable and proud. I was earning a living and doing my ‘part’. I felt somehow like a piece of a whole. I was ‘helping’ to achieve company goals and [...]

On night dreams and day dreams…

I want to invite my delicious creativity, my writing, to manifest clarity in my resting, my night sleep, and my day sleep. When I have ‘puzzles’ in my life, I want to use that time to come up with motivating solutions.

What if…

…I went to a cafe to send hours to write? It feels vulnerable. What would people think? I’ve been there for hours and I haven’t ordered very much. Look at her just into her writing. She’s lost in the world of words that are spilling from her head onto paper.

One step at a time - 4

Okay — I struggle a bit.
I had a vivacious energy focused upon my changing weight — to lose a bit, to eat better, to be more active. While that is still present, it has been having a bit of a duel with that part of me that is ‘going to do what it wants to [...]

Wherever you are, whatever you’re doing…

I have a step-son who had a birthday this week. He’s branching off into his ‘after high-school’ life with adventures untold. Perhaps his choices are not the choices I would wish for him, but they are his. He is making them, and his life is unfolding to support his choices.

Splendidly imperfect

In the spirit of all that is splendidly imperfect, I’m going to celebrate what is imperfect in my world. Care to join me?
I made a recipe this weekend, doubled part of it and didn’t double the other part — oops! (It’s still edible :-)  )

Naked Truth?

I spent a few moments pondering trees. And then, a scrumptious idea was presented. Curious?
First - a bit about my tree ponderings…
I suppose trees feel vulnerable when they lose all their leaves. When the flowery, green, yummy leaves are gone, all that is left is the naked truth of the tree. It seems me, however, [...]

A juicy journaling moment

I’m participating in a great little email course called Juicy Journaling. One of my inspirational author friends (I call her friend, because her books are like reading personal letters),  SARK, has developed this amazing little course that is brimming with goodness, invitations to grow, and my little writer self is being lavishly fed. It is, indeed, [...]

He took me away!

He had me book the flights to a location for specific dates, and that’s all I knew about that!
Day 1 - off the plane, in Hartford, CT, headed to Syracuse, NY. Got there in time for dinner at a crabby place - mmmmmmmmmmmm - Yum! Back to the hotel to enjoy a bottle of wine, [...]
